Job Description Summary:

This role will work with EPMs/CAMs/Leads to maximize efficiency in the existing planning process including: creation of new updates to current IMS / tasks for accurate tracking of project performance, perform the needed rhythm for project status, forecast updates, actuals reporting, baseline changes, and other programmatic scenarios related to Project Management.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the project integrated master schedule and facilitate earned value analysis/reporting
  • Provide project performance analysis, including the tracking of any deviations from the approved baseline.
  • Indepth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Indepth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Generate regular (minimum of monthly) project performance reports
  • Assist with coordinating project resource plans across multiple programs
  • Assist with the defining of project control accounts and work packages
  • Aggregate input from engineers on their weekly progress
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and onthejob training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering project planning, analysis, and cost control
  • Desire proficiency in MS Project
  • Knowledge of Creating Schedules in Deltek Open Plan and integrating into Cobra
  • Strong team player with positive attitude
  • Ability to work closely with engineers and participate in technical discussions for understanding project tasks and tracking progress
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • It is desired, but not required, that the resource be PMP certified or have Formal PMBOK training.
