Koops is looking to add a new Automotive Engineer JR to our team.

This person will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities with the project team to meet the requirements of a project.

Is also responsible for helping in the resolution of engineering design and solving problems.

The responsibilities and tasks outlined are not exclusive and may change as determined by the needs of
the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Ascertains product information such as machine function, specifications, and scheduled delivery date by collaborating with the project management team to organize the assembly, debug, runoff, and commissioning effort
  • Manages time effectively and establishes project priorities and sequences individual project tasks to carry out manufacturing activities in a coordinated way in order to ensure the production of quality products that meet specifications in the allotted time.
  • Analyzes component, assembly drawings, and specifications manual to provide constructive feedback to the design team.
  • Identifies and implements product realization, process improvements and logs lessons learned throughout machine development.
  • Sets up, operates, and inspects complete machine assemblies and systems to verify function, capability, and conformance to customer specifications and internal company standards
  • Performs "Runoff" of machinery to ensure that it is functioning properly along with Mechanical Engineers, Controls Designers, Controls Programmers, and Project Managers.
  • Assures proper preparations are made for the machine to be shipped to ensure it is not damaged in transit.
  • Assists Project Manager in obtaining customer acceptance.
  • Validates equipment safety systems and ergonomic requirements.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements improvement projects.

Requirements:


  • Approximate Year of Experience: 1 year or basic experience
  • Four‐year college or university degree with knowledge of engineering
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Willingness to participate in inhouse training
  • Ability to operate all auto repair tools
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
