Main Responsabilities:

Work with stakeholders defining data requirements and identifying data for integration.
Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint rituals (Standup, Retro, Refinement, Planning, Demo) as well as team pairprogramming activities.
Create documentation to ensure smooth transition of data engineering work to production.

What Skills You Need:

2+ years of experience in software design and development using both serverside (Python/Java) and client side (React, Angular, Java Script, jQuery, HTML5) scripting languages
2+ years of experience in database design and development in both relational database (MS-SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, Solr, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, DB2)
Ability to work independently and with teams to solve problems, gather requirements and manage conflicting priorities.
Ability to present and teach technical information to audiences with limited technical backgrounds.

What Makes You Stand Out:

Experience in data processing in the Apache ecosystem (Spark, Avro, Hadoop, Kafka) with a preference toward systems in the AWS cloud environment.
Experience working with the EDL and dataset management in Databricks
Experience with traditional and/or modern ETL tools
Experience developing and implementing data pipelines
Experience working with CI/CD orchestration and tools
Experience with file versioning and repository management in Git/GitHub
Formal education or certification in Systems Engineering principles

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
