Your Role and Responsibilities

As Storage Area Network Engineer, you will build relationship as a trusted OEM partner both internally and externally while being the technical focal point for Cisco/Broadcom SAN product lines.

Develop a trusted OEM partnership, including leveraging external vendors and auditing test environments to ensure IBM Interoperability testing meets requirements.

You will work closely with Development to ensure critical software and hardware functions are thoroughly tested and validated using both automated and manual testing techniques.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

English proficiency
Executive presentation experience
Storage Area Networking systems, architecture, and troubleshooting
LAN/VLAN provisioning, management, troubleshooting
Cisco and/or Broadcom hardware and firmware expertise
Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel Over IP protocols
Host adapter and networking interfacing experience
Technical test leadership:
Creating test and coverage plans
Driving test case executions
Driving issue resolution
Developing customerfacing documentation

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Excellent verbal and written communication
Test lab asset management and procurement
Project management and crossteam coordination
Disk Storage provisioning, administration and management (DS8000, IBM FlashSystems and Spectrum Virtualize experience a plus)
Server Virtualization (VMware, ESX)
Server and Storage Systems Clustering configuration, administration and management
Operating Systems: Linux, Windows, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris
IBM Z and Open Systems host attachment, management, and troubleshooting
Systems and interoperability validation experience
Enterprise disaster recovery experience
