Innovate with Benchmark ESG LATAM as an Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accounting records in accordance with local and international (MX & USA) laws and regulations
  • Manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, customer account reconciliations, and bad debt provisions.
  • Monitor the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices and expenses
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
  • Keep track of fixed assets and calculate associated depreciation expenses
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and procedures
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Serve as liaison with US corporate to provide visibility into the company's financial status
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting rules and legislation
  • Feed, maintain and update the company's accounting systems

Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting


Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with international clients and/or companies
  • Strong English skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (US GAAP, IFRS, PDCGA or IFRS)
  • Efficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Presentation skills, adaptability, and effective communication
