SSHE Technician Jr (responsible environment and legal requirements)

Activities:

  • Implementation of periodic legal and corporate internal audits in the different areas of the site to ensure the monitoring and effectiveness of compliance with the legal requirements regarding Occupational Health, Safetyand Environment by the departments, as well as the detection of opportunities of improvement and provide efficient coaching to the area supervisors in terms of safety.
  • Provide expertise to perform HSE support to plant production operations, including local HSE Management System setup, Safety Assessments, management of local governmental processes regarding HSE aspects and HSE performance reporting (e.g. BAYSIS, Intelex).
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the safety andenvironment regulations by carrying the documentation required by government institutions in order to ensure the freedom to operate within the established legal framework (STPS, SEMARNAT, etc).
  • Development of training on these topics for areasupervisors and coordinators.
  • Monitoring and tracking of regulatory compliance, establishing plans and programs for the fulfillment of the objectives.
  • Preparation and updating of the Legal requirements in Safety, Hygiene and Environment according to the applicable regulations.
  • Management of annual and industrial operation cards, reports, records, environmental indicators, determining conditions, permits, licenses, titles, notices, authorizations applicable in the field of Occupational Health and Safety with the dependencies (SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, PROFEPA, STPS, Civil Protection, State and Municipal dependencies in HSE matters), including selfmanagement system by STPS and PROFEPA. Realization, obtaining, renovation and fulfillment of Industrial Hygiene measurements and studies, required by the applicable norms and standards.
  • Ensure the HSE compliance training and inspections in sites operations to ensure compliance with occupational safety, environment and health standards.
  • Support the implementation of Bayer HSE corporate procedures and programs in the plant.
  • Develop high quality teaching material to facilitate the understanding of the different rules, procedures and policies of HSE by all people who work directly or indirectly in the facilities of the plant.
  • Development of support material for training focused on compliance with Environmental and Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Provide theoretical training and formal practical training on HSE procedures and standards applicable to plant operations.
  • Foster and support the HSE culture.
  • Support internal audits, crosschecks and scheduled inspections at the plant to ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvementof the occupational health and safety management system.
  • Support the monitoring to ensure the timely registration of information (Safety Observations, BBS, Non-Conformities, Incidents and Accidents) of the plant in the established systems, to generate the key performance indicators (KPI) of the plant's safety and environment.
  • Use of local and region safety trend analysis and direct the proper use of root cause incident investigations and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment and materials.
  • Support and monitoring processes on HSE operation for external certifications (e

g:
ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, as Policy 2055 implementation.

  • Actively contribution in the deployment and execution of the LATAM Row
  • Crops HSE implementation strategy in the site.

Qualification & Competencies:

  • Environmental engineer.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of professional business experiences including legal and corporate compliance.
  • Intermedium English.
  • Communication skills.
  • Capability of collaboration and to facilitate open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholder.
