Currently we are looking for our next:

Legal Assistant - U.S. Executive Compensation and Benefits

What will you be doing?

  • Organize and maintain complete copies of plan documents, amendments and related materials
  • Respond to subpoenas, participant document requests and qualified domestic relations orders (QDRO), including review and followup to confirm appropriate information has been provided (e.g., reviewing plan and employment details, sufficiency of authorizations and notarizations)
  • Research historical plan documents and participant information to determine appropriate benefits as part of benefit claim review process
  • Partner with attorneys and thirdparty plan administrators on litigation matters
  • Gather information for annual benefit plan audits
  • Assist with benefit plan governance matters, including preparation of administrative and investment committee materials and minutes
  • Support Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings for Section 16 officers and directors
  • Work closely with other internal functions including Total Rewards, Treasury, Tax and Control
  • Other duties as assigned, e.g., drafting compensation and benefit plan communications, benchmarking compensation committee governance trends, special projects

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate or commensurate experience
  • 25 years legal experience, preferably in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
  • Experience working in a corporation or a law, accounting, or consulting firm
  • Must have Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a quick study and able to adapt
  • Must be able to comply with deadlines
