Data Engineer Specialist has the ultimate responsibility of cloud and applicative Snowflake database administration activities supporting E2E system optimization, performance management and monitoring, query tuning and reporting.


What will your job look like?:

You will

Provide database supreme level of perform analysis for problem-solving and determining problem resolution.

Have direct interaction with customer/vendors hence good presentation and communication skill.

Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems. into structures that are suitable for building analytics solutions and/or performing analysis.

Do troubleshooting and resolve database problems performance tuning and optimization.

Implement data pipelines using SnowSQL

Lead and define tuning database parameters (physical layout and memory buffers) and promote the standardization per product cross customers world wide

Design strategy for DB working processes (e.g. backup & recovery) during project life cycle and translate and guide until implementation; you will lead and build team knowledge capabilities and versatility and personal skills variety

Perform DB maintenance plan activities including backups, indexing, integrity, consistency checks, etc.

Proactively identify, design, and implement process improvements like automating manual processes, optimizing data flow, increasing scalability, etc.


Serve as Authority in Amdocs by advanced degree of competence, technology guru demonstrating extreme dexterity and knowledge as the result of rich experience and high aptitudes in DB areas, defining DB vision and strategy in the organization, serve as ultimate level of technical customer concerns for critical showstopper incidents in Productions customers systems with direct business impact.


Be a consistent professional (you are the bridge builder, you set the example for others in to follow as it relates to communication, managing expectations, and building/growing partnerships).


All you need is
:


  • Bachelor / B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
  • 78 years' experience as a DBA
  • 7+ years' developing SQL and Unix Shell Scripting Stored Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake security features including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secured views, etc.
  • Familiar with Snowflake utilities (e.g. SnowSQL, SnowCD)
  • Exposure to AZDO CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Sharing concepts.
  • Understanding of Normalization and Denormalization concepts.
  • Skillful in testing cloudbased database solutions.
  • Have availability to work in on call mode for weekends and later hours support when critical production issues arise. On call Roster is shared in advance
  • Nice to have:
  • Oracle and/or Teradata DBA experience.
  • Understanding of data archive/restore policies
