- Support in the development and implementation of a strong labor strategy and be responsible for evaluating and managing site/ function, employee relations issues and concerns
- Conduct timely, thorough, and effective investigations relating to company policy or employment law, collective bargaining agreements, and other regulations and investigate and/ or provide support in response to union claims and labor grievanceIdentify complex and high-risk situations , providing assessment and recommendation to managers.
- Collaborate with Legal counsel as needed regarding separations, severance/redundancy and coach people managers on performance management, appropriate documentation and communicating effectively to drive improvement and/or mitigate risk. Also, Ensure proper documentation to: provide clarify for employees or union committee and minimize risk in legal, governmental or union challenges.
- Development and maintaining a labor culture that promotes productivity in plant trough tracking of monthly HR Metrics & Ensuring compliance with the progressive discipline program. Also, consult and provide guidance to clients to ensure organization initiatives and possible employees impacts comply with policies, practices and employment law and ensure quality in onboarding processes.
- Compliance and follow up to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Labor Rules and responsible for follow to STPS Federal Inspections. Demands, etc and compliance with promotions and vacancies processes.
- Responsible of GEMBA walks and GMP Audit execution. In case of the identification of any food safety deviation, it has the responsibility of the report and follow up the corrective action.
- 4-5 years of experience in similar positions as an employee relations Lead
- Experience in negotiations with Union Committee (Salary & CCT)
- Strong knowledge in Labor Law & Union Committee management
- English fluency
- Change Management and Org. Effectiveness : Serves as a change agent by facilitating business critical change efforts, partnering on organizational design initiatives, and growing business capability
- Business Partnering: Provides HR consulting and strategic HR planning; serves as a coach to employees and management
- HR Functional Skills: Understands and applies current policies, laws, theories and trends to solve business needs
- Analytics and Technology: Purposefully leverages HR metrics and technological advances to ensure that the global business efficiently and effectively drives results
