Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Mentor/coach multiple category managers-segment level view with enterprise view.

Deep understanding of multiple categories.

Data analytics & critical thinking skills in multiple categories of spend; ability to connect supply chain impact to the business, drive peak performance of spend categories.

Advanced Data analytics & critical thinking skills in a specific category space with ability to connect to the business, drive peak performance of that category(s).

Subject matter expert on spends categories.

Frequent use of data analytics tools to conduct spend and category data analytics; responsible for use and alignment of spend dashboards and spend synergy visibility.

Advanced critical thinking to formulate business cost/value opportunities within category and specific supply markets.

Leads supplier engagement, relationships management and contracting strategies; and can connect these strategic elements to deliver greater supplier & supply chain performance.

Deep understanding for supply market trends and how they impact the business.

Proficient with engineering/technical drawings and have a broad understanding of the technical grammar and advancing the language of the business & category.

Responsible for supplier preferencing strategy and part taxonomy.

Leads internal communication for category and connection to the global marketplace.

Identifies and communicates and manages supply chain risk.

Leads the validation and governance of category/commodity prices including total cost of ownership models.

Advanced understanding of sourcing process/procedures; leads and supports strategic sourcing initiatives, and council.

Project management skills developing to drive change through developed category sourcing strategies, NPD and technology adoption.

Advanced ability to work across businesses and/or segments; leads through influence.

Builds open and trusting relationships with employees through Frequent Meaningful Conversations, ensuring individual development plans are in place.

May Lead Product Development Programs cross functionally and across supply chain to drive a long-term category strategy and supplier performance through new machines, from concept through launch.

Decision-Making

Frequent responsibility for decisions and final recommendation, which may result in the formulation of strategic plans of action to achieve the broad objectives for the organization; develops the business model and methodology

Education

Engineering or Administration degree, master's degree preferred
