  • We are looking to hire a Buyer
  • Program Purchasing for our location at Monterrey,Mexico._


This position is the Purchasing/ Supply Chain representative to the project team responsible for program launches within the Braking Electronics Portafolio.


Responsabilities:


  • Responsible for program purchasing activities for braking ECU business, main products will cover slip control, electronic booster & secondary braking modules.
  • Ensure ontime launch for programs and delivery at or below target cost for piece price, tooling, etc.
  • Work effictively with the projects team to meet targets for quality, delivery and other cost areas.
  • Work with engineering, commodity mangers, supplier development engineers, program managers, to ensure supplier performance and deliverables are met and to identify cost and timing issues and resolve them.
  • Work with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, program managers, to ensure supplier change request are properly managed to meet agreed execution date.
  • Ensure sourcing activity is in line with cost targets and Purchasing processes (global bidder's list), driving the coordination of commodity strategies with the goalsof the individual programs.
  • Facialiate crossfunctional meeting including suppliers to improve program cost and delivery through design and development.
  • Assits in strategic evalution of suppliers by conducting research, analysis and/or participating in the selection process.
  • Following selection, participate in the development and launch of new suppliers and conduct negotiations for/with the commdity team.
  • Coordinate / lead efforts to identify and implement cost savings opportunities and meet assigned cost targets in the area of engineering changes, VAVE, lean activities and resourcing activities.
  • Represent Purchasing at a variety of reviews related to program launch (sourcing committee, design review, launch readiness review, program review, etc).
  • Liaise between and lead Portofolio, Engineering, Commdity Purchasing on key strategic purchasing topics.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor Degree required, prefer course of study supply chain management, engineering, business or other related field relevant to Purchasing.
  • 3 + years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience leading teams, including cross functional teams.
  • Must have solid understing of financials as they relate to program launch and demonstrated ability to gather, analyze financial data to formulate recommendations.
  • Global experience highly preferred, especially AP, EU and Mexico.
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel and be proficient in other software programs (Word, Power Point) and SAP and/or QAD.
  • Prior negotiation skills, including responsibility as primary spokesperson for supplier negotations desired.
  • Must be able to conduct negotiations with suppliers as well as internal customers to achive expectations related to cost, quality and timing.
