This role requires excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail and practical skills.


You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to and that specific duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.


Responsabilidades e atribuições
The Cash Applications Specialist is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
Cash Application

  • Process bank statements and update matching rules within the system when applicable
  • Performing standard cash allocations
  • Allocation of such unallocated payments to appropriate systems
  • Allocation and reconciliation of funds pertaining to Agent Order Files
  • Resolution of queries from both internal and external customers
  • Action refund payments by appropriate method
Reconciliation

  • Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve unapplied, unidentified, or misapplied payments promptly.
  • Investigation and resolution of all reconciling items identified in the reconciliation process
  • Reconcile associated General Ledger
  • Reconcile Oracle, bank postings and MCAS daily where appropriate
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for all bank accounts controlled by the SSC
  • Prepare reconciliations for all credit card and petty cash balance sheet accounts where applicable
Data Accuracy

  • Verify and update customer account information as necessary.
Communication

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including accounts receivable and customer service, to address and resolve paymentrelated inquiries.
  • Provide clear and timely communication and liaison to both internal and external stakeholders.
Research and Issue Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and issues, working closely with customers and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely resolution of unapplied or unidentified cash.
Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Reporting

  • Contribute to financial reporting by providing accurate and uptodate cashrelated information.
  • Prepare reporting on cash movements to assist cashflow analysis where applicable
  • Preparation of reporting credit balances
Compliance

  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Requisitos e qualificações
SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Good communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internal departments and key contacts
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word and Outlook are essential
  • Languages: English intermediate, Spanish
  • Fluent
  • Remain approachable under pressure
  • Knowledge and ability to use relevant internal systems
  • Act with integrity, tact and diplomacy
  • Work as part of a team
  • Ability to complete a variety of related tasks
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Cash Applications processes within specific area of expertise:
  • Queries & Allocations
  • Cash Processing and Reconciliations
  • Best practice in Cash Operations
  • A thorough knowledge of Oracle system preferable
