OVERVIEW OF ROLE
They should have extensive knowledge and training related to drafting and design within Marine and/or Oil and Gas industry.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

Proficient in creating models & installation procedure knowledge (PLETs, Jumpers, Suction Piles, Flying Leads, ect.).
Prepare pipeline related drawings like field layouts, alignment sheets, approach drawings, and crossings.
Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings.
Assist in the identification of technical problems and contribute with possible solutions.
Conduct selfcheck on drawing/sketches and undertake checking of others work in a project or department environment within own experience and competence level.
Provide feedback and input to improve departmental standards, working methods and guidelines.
Ensure that design services provided comply with company standards and process in line appropriated specifications.
Interface with project discipline leads to ensure CAD deliverable schedule is being met and budget is on track.
Actively participate in relevant training and development to pursue continuing professional development.

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS

Operate within the Business Code of Conduct.
Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles.
Support standards and procedures for the Engineering function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Professional qualifications
Formal academic and/or engineering discipline qualifications up to degree level or equivalent.
Relevant previous design and drafting experience (10+years required) in producing layouts, installation, transportation, and fabrication within the Marine and/or Oil and Gas industry, including work at Senior level.
Ability to assign, oversee, check, and approve the work of a team on a project or in the department.
Ability to prioritize own workload and manage time accordingly to meet time/budget constraints.
Sound communication skills, oral, written, and electronic.
Produces work of presentable quality.
Well versed in industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.
Sound knowledge in AutoCAD and Inventor.
Basic knowledge of Vault and Civil3D.
