OVERVIEW OF ROLE
They should have extensive knowledge and training related to drafting and design within Marine and/or Oil and Gas industry.


Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Proficient in creating models & installation procedure knowledge (PLETs, Jumpers, Suction Piles, Flying Leads, ect.).
  • Prepare pipeline related drawings like field layouts, alignment sheets, approach drawings, and crossings.
  • Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings.
  • Assist in the identification of technical problems and contribute with possible solutions.
  • Conduct selfcheck on drawing/sketches and undertake checking of others work in a project or department environment within own experience and competence level.
  • Provide feedback and input to improve departmental standards, working methods and guidelines.
  • Ensure that design services provided comply with company standards and process in line appropriated specifications.
  • Interface with project discipline leads to ensure CAD deliverable schedule is being met and budget is on track.
  • Actively participate in relevant training and development to pursue continuing professional development.

  • Operate within the Business Code of Conduct.
  • Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles.
  • Support standards and procedures for the Engineering function.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Professional qualifications
  • Formal academic and/or engineering discipline qualifications up to degree level or equivalent.
  • Relevant previous design and drafting experience (10+years required) in producing layouts, installation, transportation, and fabrication within the Marine and/or Oil and Gas industry, including work at Senior level.
  • Ability to assign, oversee, check, and approve the work of a team on a project or in the department.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and manage time accordingly to meet time/budget constraints.
  • Sound communication skills, oral, written, and electronic.
  • Produces work of presentable quality.
  • Well versed in industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.
  • Sound knowledge in AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Basic knowledge of Vault and Civil3D.
