Honeywell is hiring an Operational Excellence (OPEX) Sr Manager.

Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing Excellence, this person will act as an agent of change for the deployment of Honeywell's Accelerator Global Design Models (GDM), specifically focused on
Factory Management as well as process improvement and business transformation, by using Lean practices and principles.

In addition, this role is responsible to build foundational capabilities of everyone in all the Transformation Value Streams in Mexico's region.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching and developing leaders and staff throughout the value stream, including engineering, materials management, and operations, to ensure transformation priorities are aligned to the top overall business needs and Operational Excellence thinking is utilized in solution approaches
Coach lean process and behavior changes, developing a highly effective Daily Management process focused on tools such as onepiece flow, on demand, zero defects and standardized work. Deploy techniques such as basic problem solving, Kaizen and A3 thinking as well as tools including Kanban, Value stream mapping, visual management, pull systems, TPM, SMED and 5S as applicable
Coach and Lead the fulltime Leaders and Continuous Improvement professionals supporting the Transformation Value Streams to grow their knowledge and capabilities. Mentor them to be true agents of change, improving their change management capabilities (tools and behaviors), and ensure rigor around conducting rapid improvement events
Provide full financial analysis and capital expenditure justification as necessary, and accurately project and track savings
Supports the value stream team to develop and follow their personal standard work, yielding a culture of system, process, and behavior discipline to get results using lean principles
Lead and support capital projects and advanced manufacturing engineering efforts directly related to footprint reduction, operation optimization and efficiency

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline required
Lean transformation experience and understanding of lean principles with proven track record of changing culture and getting results. Successfully led and coached 20+ events

years Sr. Operations Manager and/or Sr. Materials Manager experience is required

WE VALUE:

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior management and production staff
Leadership through influence, coaching, mentoring, and teaching; ability to foster lean culture change in an environment with varying acceptance
Understanding of Gembabased continuous improvement tools/techniques
APICS CPIM Certification or equivalent experience desired
Bilingual: Spanish (Native) and English (Fluent)
