TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects.

They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations.

They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.


Essential Functions:


  • Lead assigned Core Teams to achieve defined objectives and hold team members accountable to deliver desirable results.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to assure execution in alignment with business unit financial plan and objectives for On-Time Delivery and Quality
  • Proactively assess risk and develop countermeasure plans to avoid any potential negative impact to the deliverables of the projects, and establish escalation path on all projects
  • Plan & lead Stage Gate reviews according to established Stage Gate processes and assure integrity of project deliverables.
  • Utilize enterprise level project systems to manage project plans, data, and actions.
  • Establish and maintain an accurate project schedule using Microsoft project or similar based on commitment from Core team members, customer, and all project stakeholders.
  • Identify necessary project resources, obtain approval and/or coordinate the availability of the resources.
  • Conduct status meetings with internal Core Team and external customers.
  • Provide planned and adhoc reporting and analysis to achieve results using data and facts, driving the appropriate processes and behaviors, and focusing on accountability for results.
  • Collaborate with related function teams to validate the feasibility of the product, process technology, and ensure operation strategy alignment.
  • Analyze data from multiple functions to identify opportunities for cost improvements, evaluate proposals for soundness and accuracy.
  • Build and lead Core Teams from existing internal and external resources to achieve defined objectives. Effectively communicate resource needs to responsible Manager with defined workload commitment.
  • Plan & lead milestone reviews to business segment Leadership when applicable.
  • Manage Capex spending and assure execution in alignment with business unit financial plan.
  • Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to team members on a regular basis. Be a resource to facilitate the resolution of project issues. Regularly keep management informed of problems, issues, and status of ongoing projects (escalation).
  • Conduct status meetings with internal Core Team and external customers.
  • Report out on project status as needed.
  • Track project lessons learned, cost savings initiatives and manage best practices.
  • Proactively identify & resolve risks or issues to facilitate escalation path on all projects.
  • Manage project communication, risks, and schedules.
  • Conduct project closeout meetings and post lessons learned reviews.
  • Conduct costing reviews as needed.

What your background should look like:

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education:

  • Minimum five years' experience in Operations
  • Minimum five years' large scale and complex project management experience
  • Fluency in Spanish reading, writing, and speaking highly desirable.
  • Strong communication abilities (written and verbal) and able to effectively. communicate to all level of associates including Executive level leadership.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and theory.
  • Indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection mold & assembly process).
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience managing capacity, replacement and process transfer projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking.
  • Knowledge of AIAG PPAP change management and customer notification requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a virtual team
  • The capability to travel domestically and internationally

LESS TO 10% TIME TO TRAVEL.
