Molex division is seeking a
DFx Trainee for the
El Salto, Jalisco Location.

Molex LLC is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems. Molex offers over 100,000 products across a variety of industries, including data communications, medical, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics.


The
DFx Trainee is responsible for draw and maintenance of VPL (Valor Parts Library) libraries by siemens used for DFx analysis.

The DFx Trainee will support to deploy DFx capability through Molex Guadalajara (PCBA & High level Assembly).


What a typical day looks like:

  • Valor Part Library Management development & maintenance -VPL (Component libraries)
  • Create missing & maintenance VPL based on interpretation of drawings (general tolerances, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), critical characteristics of the product and process) and technical specifications of components.
  • Research and develop component attributes that will help to avoid manufacturing issues
  • Assist in Panel array design
  • Assist DFx Engineer to work with design team to resolve design issues.
  • Support activities assigned to deploy DFX capability.
  • R&D and update of technical documentation (DFx Guidelines)
  • Assist in the process that is followed to enter a new design to a production line together within the NPI (New Product Introduction) team
  • Assist in the process to ensuring that the incoming parts are feasible to manufacture, but also are in spec (dimensions, appearance, etc.)
  • Document test data, conduct analysis as directed, and write summary reports.

Here is some of what you will need (Basic Knowledge):

  • Bachelor's degree on Mechatronics, Mechanical electrical, Electronics Engineer or related.
  • NX, Solid works or any tool CAD (Computer Aided Design), 2D & 3D drawings interpretation
  • Electronic components
  • Willing to learn new technologies, selfdriving
  • Intermediate English skills
  • Availability from Monday to Friday (35 hours weekly minimum) and 6 months with the possibility of extension
  • Followup and validation of technical information of projects
  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects
