Eaton's VEH NAT North America Truck division is currently seeking a EHS Engineer.


What you'll do:

A.

The primary function of this position is to develop and manage the plant's Safety, Environmental and Health as well as Facilities new projects (EHS) within EBS Pull compliance than involves Capital Expenditure, Cost Outs and Cost Avoidance; and to ensure compliance with programs such as OpA and OSHAs 18000 by leading initiatives than comply with the criteria.

Coordinates and leads activities associated with preparing for, obtaining and sustaining the OpA and OSHAs certification as well as maintain the EHS documentation system.

A. MESH requirements compliance

B. Manage the plant's EHS OpA deployment, follow up and implementation.

C. Develop, execute and follow up of action planning and strategic EHS Planning.

D. Promotes and leads management of change strategies and projects.

E. Coordinates and leads Quality Management System for EHS documentation.

F. Leads cost out and cost avoidance projects for EHS and Facilities department

G.

Participate in the planning and purchasing decisions regarding the potential EHS impact of new equipment, processes, PPE and construction or renovation.

H. Develops recommended EHS budgeting inputs & CAPEX Inputs.

I. Prepares required reports, plans, and other government EHS filings and insures timely and accurate submissions.

J. Lead with manufacturing ergonomics and safety issues.

K. Participate in Machine Guarding remediation programs

L. Participate in EHS Capital projects.

M. Support EHS for all the new projects in the plant.

N. EHS assessor of internal certification process (OJT)

Qualifications:

A. University degree required, with qualification in administration, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent.

Relevant advanced degree preferred professional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent).

B. English - language capability, speaking, reading & writing required.

C. 2 years' experience with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management and employee training. Experience with security operations is a plus.

D. Comprehension of Eaton, industry, state, and country environmental, health, and safety requirements.

E. High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with others.

Strong leadership skills must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement, including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion.

G. Adept at development and utilization of software solutions.

H. Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.

I. Ability to lead and support cross-functional process improvement team.

J. Electric Installations Knowledge.

K. Ergonomic knowledge.
