Responsibilities

What will you be doing?
PepsiCo Global Research and development is executing a multi-year digitization effort to transform the way they operate.

To support this transformation the Global R&D Information Technology group is looking to enhance its capacity in support of operations, business analysis, and new capability creation in alignment with our Dev/Sec/Ops service model.

This role will be a key member of the team responsible for running our current portfolio, understanding the business processes supported by our portfolio, and participating in the re-imagining of our technology landscape in support of portfolio simplification and delivering against the R&D digitization goals.

Understanding the needs of stakeholders and documenting use cases/conveying to delivery teams
Deploying new development capabilities and supporting infrastructure
Working on ways to automate and improve both business and IT processes through simplification and automation
Ensuring that our services and underlying infrastructure is stable, safe, and secure against threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows stablished processes and works as intended
Participating in the planning of projects and being involved in project management decisions
Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

3+ years of IT development experience
Experience with DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
Proficient with DevOps tools and theories
High competency in at least one of: C#, Python, Java, or other current mainstream language
Working knowledge of relational database structure, SQL language, and how these structures are represented in alternate formats (ie. XML, JSON, CSV)
Demonstrated Problemsolving skills and a desire to learn
Able to work both independently on small, selfcontained, quick efforts and collaborate well with a team on larger more complex projects
