OVERVIEW

Fastenal Mexico is looking to develop and deploy a new Global Sourcing Team, this is a globally focused opportunity which will support the whole of Fastenal Company.

We are seeking motivated individuals looking for long-term success.

RESPONSiBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Identifying new suppliers and manufacturers
Exploring market conditions for a wide variety of products
Communicating with the branches throughout the world to support global sourcing of highvolume, critical items
Establishing procurement of products, communicating with vendors, optimizing sourcing strategy
Integrating collected data into our VRM
Working closely with our FastCo Asia Team as well as the Global Sourcing Team.
Conducting inventory and quality analysis in a Just-InTime environment
Managing and driving a culture of excellence in customer service and high processquality
Daily communication in English

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The skills and qualifications required for this position include:

Possess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
Experience with technical sourcing/supply chain
Ability to travel throughout Mexico to support new factory opportunities
Project management skills are welcomed
Very good knowledge of English is compulsory
Very good computer skills especially MS Excel
Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Highly focused on customer service
