**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support and execution of the site Continuous Improvement Strategy.

  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement organization to develop strategic site CI initiatives related to Hillrom's Operations Management System (OMS) in all its pillars.
  • Owner of OMS 5S Pillar and responsible for coaching area owners and rest of the employees on 5S methodology.
  • Responsible of Visual Management implementation and sustainment within the site.
  • Conversion & Overhead savings projects execution that will support site's VIP goal.
  • Execute VIP workshops accordingly.
  • Provide Lean Tools training to all levels within the site.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen and Value Stream Events for the site as well as coordinate the execution of action plans and kaizen newspaper action items.
  • Continuous identification of wastes at supply chain and execute improvements projects to eliminate them.
  • Facilitate A3 execution and be coach to team members on Problem Solving methodology.
  • Promote CI Technicians career development.
  • Promote core Hillrom behaviors and values.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of work experience and education in a specific technical.
  • 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing tools and concepts (VSM, 5S, Std Work, TPM, Kanban, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Six Sigma certification (green, black belt) Desired.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate crossfunctional teams.
  • Effective teamwork and analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools and ability to deploy them appropriately.
  • Leadership.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Proven effectiveness as a crossfunctional team member as well as in leader roles.
  • Excellent analytical decision making and problemsolving skills.
  • Selfmotivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic, and continuous improvement in selfeducation and development.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact/communicate effectively with upper levels of management
  • Bilingual English / Spanish.
