Job Description:

What's the role?
Etsy is looking for a software engineer to join our SEO and mid-funnel Experience team. The team is focussing on improving sitewide performance to improve our SEO ranking.

In the coming months, we also expect to build a new mid-funnel experience to help our buyers find the right gear for them more efficiently.

As an Engineer III you will be responsible for guiding the team to improve sitewide performance and to implement the new mid-funnel experience.

We are a highly collaborative team that enjoys working closely with our stakeholders, who are SEO experts, designers, and product owners
We are looking to improve our SEO rankings to drive more traffic to Reverb

What does the day-to-day look like?

Frequently collaborate with teammates based out of the US
Establish and maintain the new midfunnel experience
Build, lead, and mentor other teams members through improving site performance
Collaborate with designers on new site features
Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualifications:

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

Front end react skills to develop and maintain the new mid-funnel experience
A curiosity about site performance and SEO metrics
A desire to dig in and solve interesting problems as we improve our SEO ranking
A willingness to contribute on the backend to make improvements to site performance
A desire to work closely with stakeholders to make the best possible product.
