As a BPA Manager supporting the R&D Finance team, your main responsibility will be to add value by overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities within the Global R&D sector to optimize its resource allocation. This role involves providing analytical insights, challenging conventional practices intelligently, and streamlining outcomes effectively. You will also be accountable for conducting monthly variance analysis with clear commentary, producing precise dashboards, and evaluating potential risks and opportunities.


In addition, you will be facilitating financial planning procedures, ensuring oversight across all P&L aspects, Capex, project expenses, and FTEs at the Mexico AGS offices.


Here are some highlights of what your typical day will look like:

  • Presenting accurate monthly dashboards for the Global R&D entity.
  • Acting as the go-to person for financial reporting systems, overseeing data integrity, and providing guidance on system intricacies to the team.
  • Driving value creation through simplification and automation of financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Leading month-end and rolling forecast exercises, annual budget planning, and strategic planning tasks, showcasing your business acumen and ability to convey explanations effectively.
  • Supporting BPA processes, including designing tools/templates, implementing systems, conducting ad hoc analyses, and more.
  • Assisting the R&D CFO with special presentations and fulfilling ad hoc requirements.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis roles.
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or accounting/finance; Preferred certifications include CPA, CMA, or MBA.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, leadership, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Previous exposure to multicultural or international settings.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex information for clear messaging.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality, with a penchant for challenging conventional practices.
  • Ability to grasp the broader business context and implications across various functions.
  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills and global collaboration capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
  • Problem-solving orientation, with a strong commitment to driving simplification initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Visualization and Data preparation software (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, and Adaptive).
