The Big Picture

As a Buyer, you will be responsible of placing purchase orders for assigned categories in order to ensure we are able to fill our customer orders on time.

What Needs To Be Done?

Generate purchase orders to suppliers for assigned projects in a timely fashion and work with suppliers to confirm delivery dates to ensure ontime delivery to our customers.
Enter / maintain relevant data in the MRP/ERP system per documented purchasing procedures.
Monitor and provide clear communications to suppliers as to the business requirements and expectations for delivery, quality, customer support, and continuous improvement.
Work with expeditor and logistics on shipping arrangements and to ensure orders are closed within the target time frame.
Resolve 3way match issues between purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.
Maintain reports on cost savings, delivery performance, product/service quality, and/or inventories as required.
Maintain highest ethical behavior while following Howden procedures, policies, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Regularly communicate material issues that may impact Customer due dates with Customer Service, Project Managers and other team members.
Regularly attend team meetings to discuss project and order status and to identify and resolve issues that may impact the customer.
Serve as the 'relationship owner' for Howden's suppliers and promote the Howden brand(s).

What Do You Need To Bring?

Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours_
Ability to work remote
Speaks and understands the English Language (Fluent)
Excellent communication and influencing skills with an ability to clearly present ideas,

- concepts and processes

Knowledge of MS Dynamics AX or similar ERP system
Ability to process a high volume of PO's daily(20+ with multiple PO lines)
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent
13 years of experience in purchasing role
Ability to influence others
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic and proactive in driving towards end results
Comfortable working in a highvolume, fastpaced work environment
Thrives under pressure with the ability to multitask and priorities work
Effective teamwork skills
Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems
Logical problemsolving skills
Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Strong administrative and recordkeeping skills
Relates well to all kinds of people at all organization levels and functions
Experience in MS Office products (Word, Excel)
Desirable skills, knowledge & behaviours_
Experience working with Microsoft AX, and other ERP/MRP information system.
