Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Design Updates:
The primary responsibility of this role is to update existing mechanical design drawings for jigs, fixtures, and tooling.

This includes incorporating agreed design changes, modifications, or improvements into the drawings to ensure accurate representation of the components or systems.


Documentation Creation:
Develop detailed and comprehensive manual user guides and documentation packages for industrial automation systems.

This involves translating sophisticated technical information into clear and concise instructions that enable users to optimally operate and maintain the automation equipment.


Collaboration with Engineering Team:
Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, not limited to mechanical engineers, software developers, and electrical engineers. It may involve participate in design review meetings and provide inputs on design improvements.

Design Standards and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with design standards, industry good practices, and quality requirements. The role involves verify updated design drawings adhere to these standards and are accurate, consistent, and complete.

Continuous Improvement:
Find opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement related to mechanical design updates and documentation creation. This could include propose and implement improvements in design workflows, documentation templates, or software tools used for drawing updates.

Documentation Maintenance:

In addition to create new documentation, the role may also require maintain and organize the existing library of mechanical design drawings and user manuals.

This involves proper version control, archive outdated documents, and ensure easy access to up-to-date information.


Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in mechanical design software such as NX and SolidWorks.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, including experience with jigs, fixtures, tooling, and industrial automation systems.

Excellent technical writing and communication skills to create clear and comprehensive manual user guides.

Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and precision in design drawings and documentation.

Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with the engineering team and other stakeholders.

Knowledge of design standards, regulations, and quality control processes relevant to the industry.

Problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify design issues and propose solutions.

Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and workflows.

Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with software documentation tools and techniques, such as UML diagrams and API documentation.
