In this position responsibility includes planning, implementation and design of hardware and software communication platforms.

This includes familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Voice, Conference, Messaging, Prescence, SIP, PBX, VoIP QoS/CoS, MS Teams, and various hosted platforms.

This position may sometimes lead and direct the work of others, set strategy, develop business case, and secure resources necessary to meet deliverables.

This includes advising senior leadership and decision makers on key business metrics, risks, and options.


The person filling this position may be called outside of normal business hours to support IT projects and IT functions within the responsibility of the position.


Supervisory responsibilities:

Individual contributor and does not manage a team but will be expected to hold project members accountable to milestones and deliverables.

Responsibilities will include the administration and workload distribution of multiple projects and major initiatives. This position must exercise personal initiative to strive for continuous improvement and process improvement.


What You'll Do

  • Plan, organize, and control multiple initiatives or projects to achieve voice and collaboration objectives. Perform POC's, solution rationalization and cost analysis. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of highquality while controlling expense.
  • Maintain proper documentation of systems configurations, to include drawings and standard operating procedures. Review reports and logs for problems and identify appropriate solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Improve training and operational procedures to increase productivity. Use a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights. Provide or create enduser training to facilitate adoption of new tools or procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned beyond these core functions listed.

Minimum Qualifications
***- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or similar area of study

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Unified Communication Engineering/Architecture role
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts such as Quality of Service (QoS), virtual LANS (VLANs), static routes, IP subnetting, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Experience organizing and executing large scale programs including leading the design, estimation, planning, and implementation
  • Experience running Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Experience deploying Cisco Voice
  • Preferred Cisco CCNA Voice or Cisco CCNA Collaboration, CCNP, CCIE

  • Experience configuration and management of Microsoft Office 365 suite as related to voice and collaboration
  • Cisco licensing including Flex
  • Cisco Call Manager, WebEx Collaboration, Spark
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills
  • Superior presentation and crossfunctional collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
  • Ability to create technical documentation for users and other nontechnical teams
  • Ability to interface with users at all levels of the company
  • Ability to assist others resolving procedural issues and escalating as needed
