Job Description:


The Role
Come join our growing Finance team as we establish our newest Centre of Excellence (CENX) in Mexico.

The Finance Team already has an established CENX in both Mumbai and Bucharest and with the importance of the Americas to YouGov's growth, we are now excited to create a new team in Mexico.


Reporting to the Finance Manager also based in Mexico city, this role will support the YouGov group in accurately billing our clients and recognizing revenue correctly.


The role requires a good understanding of invoicing, collections, account receivables, order management, sales order review, order processing and order fulfilment.

The role may also require following up with sale and operational teams to understand unbilled or deferred revenue and to ensure our clients experience is as streamlined as possible.


What will I be delivering?

  • Creating sales invoices and loading these to customer portals
  • Supporting collection of cash from customers
  • Reviewing sales orders to ensure revenue can be recognized in line with IFRS 1
  • Collecting evidence to show project milestones have been achieved
  • Completing intercompany transfers
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements to the financial accounting controls and processes
  • Supporting reviews of contract assets and liabilities balances to ensure reported balance are correct
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • The role will be focused on the Americas, however as a global CENX Team, there will be opportunities to work on global processes and support other regions

Qualifications:


What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

  • At least 3 years of experience of sales order and billing processes
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage conflicting demands priorities.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong service orientation/responsiveness
  • Excellent Excel skills

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related disciplines preferable

Behavioral competencies

  • Team player
  • Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines/SLAs, ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high degree of tenacity and resilience
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
