To ensure our documentation processes are in line with our high standards, we're inviting a Document Control Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join our Tijuana team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Document Management:
Oversee the effective organization, storage, and retrieval of all engineering-related documents, ensuring easy access and traceability.

Version Control:

Implement and monitor version control protocols for design documents, ensuring that only the most recent and approved versions are in circulation.

Collaboration:
Work closely with mechanical engineering teams to capture design changes, updates, and improvements in the documentation.

Standardization:
Develop and maintain standardized documentation templates and practices across projects.

Review & Quality Control:
Regularly review engineering documents for compliance with company standards, regulations, and mechanical accuracy.

Training:
Provide training to team members on best practices related to documentation and the use of document control software.

Continuous Improvement:
Analyze the current document control processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

At least 3 years of experience in document control, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.

Strong familiarity with mechanical engineering terminologies, drawings, and standards.

Proficiency in document control software and tools.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Meticulous attention to detail and an innate drive for accuracy.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish would be advantageous.
