JOB SUMMARY:


The Project Engineer (Known as NPI) is responsible to organize, define and execute the desired and optimal configuration in our Surfaces Area to promote a steady parts workflow to have at least 90% of labor efficiency all time & search for ways to achieve a zero-defect strategy.


Perform various engineering & leadership duties in support of operation processes to achieve the daily goals in terms of EHS and Quality compliance.


May have a direct responsibility for equipment's and components, spare parts, tools, tester or measurement equipment, fixture, or gauges to ensure those are adequate for the manufacturing process that will produce the highest quality parts.

The Project Engineer requires technical skills and knowledge, Experience of any industry in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Problem Solving.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishment of the manufacturing sequence to achieve production goals daily by designing the best Layout with a One-Piece flow approach.
  • Responsible for the quality of the operation product process, execute processes validation and qualification, develop, and implement process controls using statistical techniques such as design of experiments.
  • Update the BOMs and load the routings into JDE that reflects the product cost as precise as possible.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies into the manufacturing process including material flow and line balancing, workstation arrangements to meet required production rates and improve efficiency of the painting process.
  • Responsible for EHS compliance, this means, design & execute projects to improve ergonomics in each workstation to prevent injury prior to launch a new product.
  • Responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are compliant with FDA Quality System Regulation as well as Baxter Quality System Requirements.
  • Design and validate the DHRs for the parts or product he/she is responsible for.
  • Responsible for leading teams and directing the technical efforts of others.
  • Promote core Baxter behaviors and values.
  • Support manufacturing in the installation of new processes.
  • Develop & implement programs & practices to assure 100% compliance with applicable Federal, State, Local and Baxter regulations & practices.
  • Coordinate and supervise the design, construction, and assembly of machinery.
  • Comply with the safety regulations established in the organization.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing process, medical field desirable.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills which are effective in crossfunctional teams as a leader or member.
  • Experience with Manufacturing process engineer activities, programming, rack design, line balancing, time studies.
  • AutoCAD literate and able to use it. Medium-Advanced Level is Highly Desired
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage complete project cycle from concept to actual implementation.
  • A minimum of 510 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a multinational company
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Bachelor of Engineering preferred.
  • Startup experience with a multinational company. Demonstrated achievement.
  • JDE computer enterprise system
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong computer skills including HRIS systems
  • Experience in a medical company 13485 and ISO
