NAM Vegetable Seed Crop Specialist Sweet Corn
Main Pourpose:
nThe Crop Specialist are the connection between R&D and Product Supply providing a service of seed supply and information to internal customers.
nAccountable and responsible for producing timely supply of Seed, parental lines, while achieving the Yield and Quality targets.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
nResponsible for managing FS program for the assigned crops maintaining and improving reliability, quality, timeliness and cost.
nMaintain accurate records of FS increases in proper databases, including seed inventory, inventory transactions, parental seed characteristics, quality and seed health information.
nEnsure that all the parental lines are genetically fixed - work closely with the breeders to evaluate and assess parental lines genetic quality.
nSupervise operations including but not limited to seed preparation, seed sowing, rouging, harvesting, threshing, conditioning, seed storage, shipments and assessment of PGO trials.
nShare relevant parental line information with R&D and Production teams to accelerate producibility learnings and crop management for the successful production of new varieties.
nEngage with key stakeholders R&D and Breeding team, Global production, Pre-commercial, Field Quality, Production Research, DCV, PVP and others to identify improvement opportunities to improve reliability, cost and customer experience.
nAssisting Pre-commercial Manager in OPEX and CAPEX preparations.
nMay manage and guide the development of FS Associates.
nEnsure external and internal compliance in our operations, including HSE, Human Rights, Business Conduct, QMS, BIO-ETS, and SOX.
nComply with the LIFE values in daily activities.
nPromote an environmental and safety culture among all staff, producers, contractors and visitors. Work with business partners to ensure your HSE performance as well.
nWork focused on quality and generate the results expected by the client and exceed them.
_Qualifications & Competencies:
_
nEnglish. Min 80% required.
nMinimum B.S. in a scientific discipline plus two years relevant experience or M.S. in a scientific discipline.
nExcellent human relation skills, effective communication skills required. Good knowledge of local language and English is needed.
nAbility to influence all levels in the organization.
