Senior BI Developer

This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.


The
Power BI Developer will play a prominent role in working with planning and operations stakeholders to provide leaders with critical data insights.


Specifically, you will collaborate with program and functional leaders and with peers to create meaningful reports and dashboards and to develop BI solutions using one or many data sources.

This role requires an end-to-end, solution-oriented approach.


How you ́ll make your mark:

  • Working with the project stakeholders, you will help define the reporting objectives, analyze the data, create visualizations, and deploy/maintain your solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with all levels of the organization, including executive leaders, which requires both technical and business acumen and great communication skills.
  • Build complex dimensional data models and reports in Power BI.
  • Audit existing Power BI efforts with a focus on improvement.
  • Visualize compelling data stories for users in Power BI
  • Produce KPIs with userfriendly display in Power BI dashboards
  • Collaborate with client's data team to engineer revolutionary companywide data solutions
  • Provide skills training to users in Power BI
  • Provide deep support in SQL queries.

About you


Utilize data to build advanced visualizations and reporting dashboards using Power BI, with a proactive, innovative, positive, and continuous learning mindset.


Education and Experience Required:


  • Business/ Technical related first degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and analysing BI dashboards in Power BI
  • Experience using SQL to profile and analyse data
  • Proficiency with all aspects of data management retrieval through specialized APIs, transformation, loading between systems, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases

  • PowerBI Service
  • Direct queries
  • Live connections
  • Embedded models
  • Composite models
  • Concept of shared dataset / datamodel and thin reports.
  • Data modeling (Power BI)
  • Advanced use of DAX and M, and able to decide when it is preferable to favor one over the other
  • SQL
  • Power Apps, specifically Power Automate
  • Technical skills _(preferred)_
  • Tabular Editor
  • Dax Studio
  • ALM Toolkit
  • SSMS
  • Nontechnical
  • Ability to discuss requirements with nontechnical colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to manage and influence stakeholders
  • Effective interpersonal skills; ability to work with virtual teams
