The Vehicle Controls department supports the Ford Model-E organization by providing a vehicle simulation environment that enables our controls development teams to design, verify, and validate their control systems.

**Required Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering or related degree.

  • Programming proficiency with some of the following Matlab/Simulink/C code.
  • Working experience with debugging embedded systems.
  • Working experience with testing on HIL rigs (dSpace).
  • Working experience with software versioning tools (Git/GitHub).
  • Familiarity with Internal Combustion and Electrified Powertrains.
  • Basic knowledge of general physics and general vehicle operation. Basic knowledge of Analog/Digital Control.
**Personal Qualities: - High learning agility.

  • Highly organized.
  • Highly motivated/selfstarter and outstanding interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal English communication skills.
**Nice to Haves (Desired Qualifications/Experience): - Working experience with issues tracking systems (JIRA).

  • Working experience with ECU-Test developing test cases.
  • Working experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with software engineering methodologies/frameworks (scrum, agile, SAFe, Continuous Integration).
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (LIN/CAN/Ethernet).
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR architectures.
  • Provide support to end users with issues resolution.
  • Collaborate with the HIL/SIL Modeling team to enhance the correlation between HIL/SIL data and vehicle data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tools, testing methods and processes.
  • Provide assistance to development of Continuous Integration framework.
