    Job Description

    This engineer will be the representative for the Core Product Engineering team (CPE) at the Jabil-Guadalajara factory. The engineer will be responsible for support to the manufacturing operations of Astro Subscriber products at the manufacturing facility. Support SMT & production lines of transmitter, receivers, and radios, detect and correct failures in test stations and assist in the analysis of product issues. Coordinate and drive the implementation of product changes (PCN) and improvements to the product (ECO's, ECN's, product deviations, use of alternate parts, etc.), verification structure bill materials (BOM's) and obtain the applicable approvals from the stakeholders. Own all quality issues (stop build, stop shipment) and drive the issue resolution process to completion. The ideal candidate must possess a broad skill set, demonstrated communication and presentation skills, analytical thinking and a desire for learning that will support sustainable career growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive root cause analysis of product issues during stop build/stop shipment
    • Root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing & quality issues
    • Generate documentation in areas of responsibility
    • Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections
    • Formulate test plans to ensure component level performance
    • Support all PCN (Product Change Notification) implementation in the factory
    • Support all effort for product transfer to the factory

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Flexibility on work hours to support the manufacturing site
    • Knowledge in general electronics and understanding of RF electronics
    • General knowledge general electronics & RF
    • Ability to summarize and clearly communicate project status, on complex technical risks/issues and team recommendations for work partners and senior leadership

    Basic Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering fields.
    • 1+ year of relevant experience in electrical testing in manufacturing companies.
    • Knowledge Quality tools such: FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Fishbone, root cause analysis
    • Knowledge of test equipment such: Network Analyzer, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, power supply
