Provides project planning, installation, start-up and acceptance support of new installations and optimization measures of equipment technology.

Evaluates concepts and projects with technical and financial focus for new equipment, calibration equipment, software solutions.
Finds the optimum solutions regarding costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation and environment for problems affecting KPI's.
Provides cost estimation (Invest, Budget) for series equipment, technical specification and request for quotes for innovations, offers technical evaluation and recommendation for the award of contract.
Develops and implements equipment countermeasures to improve equipment reliability.
Ensures all assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effective manner.
Ensures all assigned projects are on schedule and at/or under approved budget.
Creation of LOP's and follow up of resolution activities.
Must interface with all internal/ external project stakeholders to support production/quality in case of torque tools needs like failures, calibrations.
Will work in close cooperation with international and domestic BMW project teams, international and domestic travel may be required.
The position will perform evaluation/interpretation of data and calibration studies performing MFU (machine capability analysis) and PFU (process capacity studies) according to the type of tool and measurement equipment required.
Develops preventive and corrective plans for Test benches and equipment within Assembly as delegated by the section manager
Key user role for database analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or the equivalent of 5 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.

3+ years of project planning (Desirable).
4+ years of maintenance/use of torque/fastening tools.
4+ years of work in maintenance in mechanic electric.
4+ years of torque tool software usage.
