Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring that all of the firm's activities follow the necessary rules and regulations, and that the firm complies with legal/regulatory boundaries and jurisdictions.
Focuses on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.
Facilitates ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on crossfunction process or project deliverables.
Provides legal guidance and counsel related to securities and banking regulatory matters
Maintains relationships with regulatory bodies and agencies and has significant expertise in industry regulatory matters
Coordinates and conducts the assessment of internal controls to ensure compliance as required by regulatory commissions/authorities
Prepares and sponsors testimony to governmental or regulatory agencies

Qualifications:

58 years experience in Compliance and Control

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Job-Specific Requirements

Maps out business processes, identifying significant risks using the Business Process Mnemonics and Nomenclature (BPMN) 2.0 methodology and under the standard defined by the Business Architect
During process mapping and risk assessment workshops, assists in identifying significant risks in business processes and helps design their control framework using the Operational Risk Management methodology.
Teams up with the Risk Analyst to document relevant process information relative to the development of data flows, process narratives, and risk assessments.
Helps define a pragmatic and efficient control monitoring process.
Ensures business compliance with policies and regulations by validating or developing the Policy Control Matrix (PCM) and Regulatory Control Matrix (RCM) of the business under review and ensuring their incorporation in the Managers Control Assessment (MCA).
Performs ad hoc gap assessments of business processes vs. policies and regulations and executes a plan to close gaps through the enhancement of processes and controls and incorporating them in the MCA of their entity.
Maintains change control information for PCM and RCM updates.

Additional Qualifications

Significant process mapping experience using the Business Process Mnemonics and Nomenclature (BPMN) methodology.
Basic risk management experience including mitigation, acceptance, transference, and avoidance.
Process mapping proficiency in Visio, ARIS, iGrafx, or IBM Blueworks.
Poweruser level in Excel, Word, and Power Point
Basic experience in SharePoint web page design.
Significant design of impactful PowerPoint presentations.
Six-Sigma, Lean, Agile, PMI or CIA certification a plus.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
