Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Metrology Engineer.

What you'll do:

Job summary

Manage, supervise and control in coordination with the organization, economic and technological objectives of the metrology area the quality management system according to standards and specifications, through the development and establishment of preventive control measures to increase quality, reduce rejections and scrap from the plant.

Job responsibilities

Manage the calibrations and validations of the metrology area (plant/die shop) in conjunction with the management of spare parts and requisitions
Review and comply with the operating procedures in the metrology area in accordance with the established quality requirements
Act as a support area for the engineering area to develop the PPAP (Production part approval process) in the tools
Train area personnel regarding the requirements and responsibilities established in their job description
Coordinate with the Quality / Operations department for the programming of training and training related to their areas of responsibility
Coordinate and provide preventive actions for metrology problems
Delegate tasks appropriately to the metrologists of the quality / diemaking areas
Hold meetings with metrologists to follow up on issues related to the area
Generate and validate the dimensional reports obtained in the area
With the support of the engineering area, improve the management and storage of tool drawings
Actively collaborate in compliance with the quality management system (ISO 9001)
Maintain the order and cleanliness of the plant in general and in particular of your workplace, following the guidelines of the 5S's, in conjunction with the KANBAN of the most used tools
Comply with the company's rules, regulations and code of ethics

Qualifications:

Education level required

Technician or University Career in process

Years and area of experience required

2 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process engineer in the manufacturing industry in Metrology area.

Technical knowledge

Programming and execution of programs in coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Parts measurement for approval in new projects and supplier measurement review in ISIR.
Measurement of MRB parts.
Support for receipt and calibration inspection area.
Execution of studies R & R.
Interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Management of Office parcels
Interpretation of plans
ISO quality standards and metrology
Management of measuring instruments
Analysis capacity
Advanced English
