The External Comms Sr Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals.Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies and activities to support Cit franchise, Citi's businesses and marketing strategies
- Handle media relations and manage traditional and digital media activities to ensure key messages /statements are accurate and carried
- Be able to supervise franchise events and branding by working closely with relevant departments
- Work closely and monitor job deliverables of third party partners in Public Relations areas
- Develop and implement projects for Corporate Social Responsibility programs
- Develop working ties with nonprofit organizations to carry out effective programs
- Assist franchise wide internal communication especially rolling out key company's direction
- Responsible for some of the Corporate Affairs internal procedures on Compliance & Control, Continuity of Business, Expense Management, Third Party Management, Record Management and other administrative supervision tasks for the unit as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 10 + years working experience preferably in communications/Public Relations field
- Excellent computer skills
- Multimedia expertise in photography, video and online media design will be a plus
Education:
- Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
- Experiência en comunicación externa conocimiento del manejo de comunicación externa, relación con stakeholders.
- Comunicados, boletines de prensa.
- Relación con los medios de comunicación y periodistas a nível nacional.
- Inglés avanzado (speaking, reading, writing).
- Gestión y manejo de equipos.
- Disponibilidad de horarios.
