TE Connectivity's Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts.

They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required.

They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

They also look for and recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

Activities:

Negotiating with vendors to obtain the best possible terms while maintaining a good relationship with them
Reviewing purchase orders to ensure that they are accurate and complete
Estimating costs related to each purchase order, including labor and materials costs
Coordinating the flow of materials and products through the supply chain by communicating with other departments within an organization
Determine the best sources of supply for each product or service needed by the company, based on price, quality, delivery time, and other criteria
Developing and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure that they provide highquality products at competitive prices
Conducting market research to determine what products are in demand and how they can be marketed effectively
Working with shipping companies to ensure that orders are delivered on time
Developing new business opportunities by analyzing industry trends and identifying new products or services that could be offered to customers

Requirements:

1. 5 years of experience on a similar position
