Main Responsibilites:


  • Provides initial assessment of work related injuries and illnesses, following up with appropriate treatment or referral to physician. Documents and maintains injury or illness record keeping and medical records per government or company requirements.
  • Provides case management for occupational injuries and illnesses to ensure employees receive appropriate care to minimize time away from work or are assigned to restricted work activity.
  • Evaluates employee work restrictions and communicate/coordinate information with physicians, supervisors and Safety Department personnel.
  • Visits jobsites and conducts ergonomic evaluations to assure employee work assignment is in compliance with any work restrictions.
  • Plans and executes programs for health education, accident prevention, and evaluation of the work environment in accordance with overall program guidelines.
  • Performs medical screenings and assessments to comply with applicable laws, ensure fitness for duty and protect the workforce from hazards.
  • Performs various tasks such as physicals for preemployment, hearing tests, respirator fit tests, respirator training, personal protective eye and hearing care dispensing and repair, preparation and immunization for business travel.
  • Coordinates medical response activities.

What Skills You Need:


  • Ability to administer first aid treatment or evaluate and refer for advanced medical attention as required.
  • Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Certification and recertification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), audiometric technician (COHC), spirometry training, etc. as required.
  • Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Ability to perform nursing/occupational health duties to meet employee needs.
  • Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Understanding of regulatory agency's and company's standards for injury and illness reporting requirements necessary to document incidents.

  • Concern for employee care.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (minimum), specialty or master's degree in Occupational Health.
