Eaton's ES CRDS RESI Residential division is currently seeking a Sr Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift.


What you'll do:

Supervise, direct and coordinate production activities with employees in order to achieve efficiently internal and external customer service expectations. Develop and enforce accomplishment of operational procedures and metrics. Build Organizational Capability through development plans, mentoring, driving accountability.

Implement continuous improvement strategy through cost out opportunity project.- Select, train and supervise production employees; evaluate performance to assure adherence to performance standards, taking corrective action as required.


  • Maintain awareness of employee needs and concerns and take steps necessary to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and execute the production schedule, providing supervision and direction to Production Team.
  • Allocate resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities. Prioritize and manage workload to ensure assignments address the objectives of the company, department and customers.
  • Oversee, maintains and ensures safety practices in accordance with safe operations and in compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness. efficiency and quality of manufacturing roles. Review daily productivity goals and identify root cause if goal was not obtained, report findings.
  • Provide employees with necessary operations supplies to efficiently fulfill their roles and production requirements.
  • Monitor employee attendance / absenteeism and take appropriate action according to company policies
  • Plan hourly employees vacation schedule minimizing impact on production operation.
  • Recommended changes to improved working conditions, production process / methods, equipment / machines performance to increase efficiency.
  • Participate in departmental and cost saving team meetings when required.
  • Make necessary adjustment in work procedures, labor force to meet production schedule.
  • Analyze and resolve employee grievances and assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Comply with Fill Rate and On Time Performance objectives.
  • Comply with the Load Plan to avoid back orders.
  • Prepare and report to Human Resources Office, any personnel change or movements like: department or shift changes, promotions, etc.
  • Utilizing Lean six sigma tools recommend changes to improve working conditions, production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency.
  • Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to MESH Programs and initiatives, complying with all the goals and objectives.
  • Other functions as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supervision

Skills:


  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Technical knowledge: Electronic/Mechanical experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with automation and stamping processes.
  • Knowledge of precise measure equipment.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Office knowledge (Excel, Power Point, Word).
  • Human relations skills, ability to show leadership, sell ideas and make changes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate effectively and professionally across many organizational levels and functions and effectively build rapport with stakeholders.
  • Proven problemsolving capability.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to act as an agent of change, driving and enabling process change.
  • Takes initiative to develop personally and professional and actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged.
  • Good at problem solving and decisionmaking.
  • Good manufacturing practices.
