Billing Specialist for Mexico


SUMMARY
This position requires someone that is motivated and determined to get results.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure customers are invoiced properly and in a timely manner upon receipt of all documents according to the specifications of each customer.
  • Research, resolve and invoice all loads rejected by Accounts Payable, within 90 day of delivery date.
  • Resolve billing incident requests, autoinvoice failures, by reviewing exception reports in order to initiate invoicing.
  • Maintain, scan and store original paperwork received from the carriers. Also must be able to provide copies upon request from our customers.
  • Manage specific specialty expedited customer accounts to ensure timely billing due to contractual or preference guidelines.
  • Complete goals and tasks based on set departmental expectations and metrics.
  • Escalate any issues, consistent problems, or billing changes to appropriate Team Lead.
  • Contact customers to clarify billing requirements.
  • Contact carriers to secure any missing paperwork documentation (Bill of Lading, Proof of delivery, Remission Orders, Lumper tickets)
  • Serve as a liaison between the accounting departments and the electronic invoice service supplier for Mexico
  • Other duties as assigned based on business need.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers both written and verbal
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Work with little or no supervision, and work well in a team setting
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
  • 24+ years of billing experience
  • Transportation industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual, mainly fluent in Spanish and English
