Regulatory Reporting Head - Mex & LAM


Regulatory reporting area is responsible for RWA calculations under local and PRA requirements for Mexico and oversight for LATAM countries (Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay), providing relevant insights to the stakeholders.


Key activities and decision-making areas:

Supervise Regulatory Reporting area, processes and projects covering Mexico and LATAM.

  • Communication with Group Regulatory Reporting and LATAM sites on Regulatory Reporting related matters.
  • Communication with Mexico local regulators (CNBV and Banxico) ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Responsible of capital related disclosures to comply with PRA and Mexico Regulation
  • RWA Performance: Reporting PRA RWAs figures by LATAM countries compared with prior year/AOP and ensuring that comments from LATAM countries are appropriate to only on insights for the differences but also in relation to actions being taken to address eventual RWAs GAPs against appetite. Information presented in LAM Executive Committee.
  • Regional GSMs (relevant transaction approvals): Review and approval of Regulatory Reporting section included in GSMs provided by LATAM Sites.
  • CNBV & PRA

Stress Testing:
Review and challenge of PRA RWAs projections for Mexico.

  • Support in planning of PRA RWAs for Rest of LATAM.
  • New Products: Review and sign off of Regulatory Reporting implications on new products (mainly related to Markets but also other business products).
  • Review and challenge of Mexico projections (both local and PRA RWAs).
  • Provide support to LATAM sites (other than Mexico) on RWA projections.
Requirements


Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Actuary, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Background in Banking, data analytics and in regulatory reporting activities.
  • Ideal knowledge of liquidity and capital management
  • Analytical and review skills with the ability to draw the accurate and straightforward conclusions.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, complex problem resolution, initiative.
  • Stakeholder management, considering the interaction with the different areas as Business, Risk, Operations teams
  • Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity.
  • Ability to assist in the training and development of the analyst staff.

Minimum Advanced English level is required
  • Fluent would be a plus.
