Requirement for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):
Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree. Chemical Engineer graduation preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in Protective Coatings required.
Experiences

  • Strong Protective Coatings Technical Knowledge for Oil & Gas Downstream Industry
  • Protective Coatings Technical Knowledge for Power Industry
  • Used to CRM interactive work
  • Strong selling skills
  • High skill level of closing on proposals and ability to negotiate successfully
  • Ability to build and nurture solid relationships to advance stakeholder satisfaction and professional influence

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities _(kindly limit to a maximum of eight)_

  • Systematically screen new leads, customers, projects and opportunities to maintain pipeline in line with business strategy.
  • Continuously feed CRM platform.
  • Forecast six months sales / product needs.
  • Monitor sales against agreed targets on a regular basis to ensure they are met and where necessary the need for remedial actions are identified, reported and implemented.
  • Plans own visit schedule in line with agreed customer service levels for that customer segment.
  • Coordinates own visit schedule with the assigned Technical Representative.
  • Promotes the positive company image and develops longterm relations with the customers.
  • Follow up to collect payments from customers.

  • Internal relationships: Sales, Sales Support, Technical Department, Logistics, Office Sales
  • External relationships: Direct / indirect customers / prospects, Industry stakeholders, Distributors

The position is in Performance Coatings, Marine & Protective Coatings BU.

Nature and scope:

This position is responsible to manage a territory in Mexico South East, based either in Villahermosa, Tabasco or Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.


Major issues and challenges:

  • Maintain a profitable sales level within the assigned territory.
  • Forecast sales, product and technical service needs.
  • Be aware of the company Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats within the assigned territory / customers.
  • Able to visit customers / projects sites and obtain information of assets.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate price / profit levels.
  • Basic financial skills to assist customer on cost benefit decisions.
  • Team work capable.
