Job Summary:


  • The Director, Network Systems and Infrastructure is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of RAC's infrastructure and systems including hardware, software, network, database and storage.
  • The role will establish the midterm strategy and execute the plan, whilst at the same time managing the daily operations of RAC's network infrastructure and systems.
  • Mapping the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components, identifying key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms and deriving ROI of these investments are key objectives.
  • This role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising the installation, maintenance, and support of all infrastructure and system components, and is accountable for the overall performance and availability of network architecture and assets across all regions and ranches.
  • This role is responsible for an operational and project budget, a global team and vendor partners driving superior service and business efficiency across RAC global business.

Job contributions and key responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and maintain strategic plans for RAC infrastructure and systems to ensure they align with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and communicate RAC Network Systems and Infrastructure Strategy and Policies.
  • Identify key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms.
  • Plan and direct the installation, maintenance, and support of all network components, including switches, routers, firewalls, telecommunications and other networking equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for system use and backup/recovery.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of network and system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify new technologies and develop business case for successful deployment across RAC Infrastructure and Systems.

Operations

  • Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective action plans to ensure maximum uptime, availability and ROI.
  • Manage upgrades and migrations, ensuring mínimal disruption to business operations.
  • Spearhead vulnerability audits, and corrective actions.
  • Create and execute strategies to improve the reliability and cost effectiveness of network related assets and process.
  • Assess, test and select new products and technologies.
  • Develop, maintain and promote Network scorecard.

Team and Vendor Management

  • Provide leadership, vision, and management to IT team members.
  • Provide expert guidance and vision to key stakeholders and leadership committees.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of operations, through oversight of partner service level agreements and performance targets.
  • Lead and mentor the network systems and infrastructure team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to promote skill and career advancement.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation for the network systems and infrastructure team.
  • Close working relationship with VP, Enterprise Applications, Director, Cyber Security and Director, Master Data Management to ensure future needs are provisioned in advance.

Skills & Knowledge:


  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools
  • Understanding of policy based routing and network protocols
  • Demonstrate a high sense of urgency
  • Build and maintain an ongoing positive business relationship between IT and supported business area VPs, Directors and key business stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate alternative options to complex problems what the ROI, efficiency gains and timing implications with each alternative to leadership, stakeholders and crossfunctional teams
  • Present ideas in businessfriendly and userfriendly language.
  • Demonstrate working relationships with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel
  • To provide expert advice and vision to IT leadership team, key stakeholders and steering committee.

Education Level:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Years of experience:


  • 5+ years in senior leadership position
  • 12+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing largescale networks
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or ITIL are a plus

Licenses:


  • Valid California Driver's license and ability to be insured under the company insurance
