Job Description Summary:

In this role you will be accountable for leading the Operations Enablement Solutions Engineering team in the design, development, implementation, and support of global IT solutions that deliver against AZ IT use cases.

You will work with the Operations Enablement Services Lead to steer technology decisions and to deliver technology change across the Operations Enablement service portfolio.

You will provide leadership to the Operations Enablement Solutions Engineering team, enabling strong and cohesive delivery across the team.

The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team is accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies.

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Associate Solutions Engineering Director will be responsible for leading the Operations Enablement Solutions Engineering team in the design, development, implementation, and support of AstraZeneca end user device Information Services solutions.

This will involve all aspects of planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of end user facing solutions several technology focus areas in support of the overall Ops Enablement service portfolio:

Monitoring & Insights

Including client, infrastructure and network
Example technologies include Splunk and Tanium

CyberSecurity Tooling

Platforms and technologies supporting AZ CyberSecurity business processes
Example technologies include Qualys and Splunk Enterprise Security

Network Tooling

Platforms and technologies supporting AZ Networks business processes
Example technologies include Ruckus and Cisco Prime

Asset & Configuration Management

Design, implementation and support of asset and configuration management data and technology integrations
Example technologies include Flexera and ServiceNow
Provide team and people leadership for the Devices Solutions Engineering team enabling strong and cohesive delivery across the team and driving personal growth and development for all team members.
Lead teams to complete complex technology projects and initiatives.
Will own the technology standards and roadmap for a specified set of technology capabilities.
Will help define and drive best practice across the Solutions Engineering team.
Works with other AZ teams or preferred thirdparty suppliers to provide strategic and innovative technology solutions aligned with AstraZeneca business needs.
Lead solutions and other technical reviews.
Provides technical input to business cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection and evaluation of proposals.
Leads risk management for risks/issues identified in third party supplier impact assessments.
Ensures infrastructure and solution lifecycle maintenance needs are identified and managed.
