To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Engineering Manager located in Guadalajara, South Campus.
Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, Operations Engineering Manager role involves directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function.
What a typical day looks like:
- Participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.
- Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
- Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
- Directs the activities of engineers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
- Interacts regularly with executives, customers and outside regulatory agencies.
- Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.
- Provides technical supplier management as related to product development and integration.
- In charge of asset management.
- In charge of CAPEX process.
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent English.
- Previous engineering experience, including broad based management and supervision.
- Experience in SMT equipment and wave solder.
- Advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Expertise in multiple areas and industry.
- Knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
- Knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Knowledge in industrial engineering (cycle times, TAC times, capacity).
- Experience using AutoCAD is also a plus.
