Eaton's ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division division is currently seeking a Sr. Buyer.


What you'll do:


Authority

  • Negotiation of prices, delivery dates and start supplier registration processes, price changes, negotiate distribution agreements and inventory levels with our suppliers

Job Summary

  • The Senior Buyer provides parts and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance; obtaining required parts, verifying receipt of items, authorizing payment, and managing and controlling inventory. Pursues cost reduction via purchasing strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

A. Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities.
B. Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
C. Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems.
D.

Maintain accuracy of Material and supplier master information and PIR, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.

E.

Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.

F. Define strategic purchasing plans and to maximize savings and reach company goals.
G. Negotiate prices, delivery terms, minimum order quantities, etc. With suppliers too meet company goals.
H. Resolve billing and shipping problems related to PIR, price scales, invoice errors, invoice recording errors by A/P, etc. As required.

Qualifications:


Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration or equivalent.

Years and area of experience required

  • 3 5 years experience in a similar role and industry in supply chain function.

Technical knowledge

  • Demonstrated success on COP or similar strategies, Strong capabilities in SAP, Knowledge on ISO9001 /14000 or IATF Quality System.
  • Quality Auditor desirable, At least Foundational knowledge CTPAT and OEA certifications Relocation assistance is not available for Strong Financial analysis skills, Strong Project management skill.
