Major Tasks:
Execution of the annual plan of plant health covering the laboratory daily operations: inoculum planning and production, occasional diagnosis and isolations Planning and execution of artificial inoculations for key diseases on the field Responsible for the data collection on disease ratings at La Charca and the region, ensuring it is performed at the proper time and right criteria
Correct data load after collection in the digital systems Occasional support to NORLA breeding programs in nursery/yield trials for specific data collection when needed.
Skills:
Graduation in Agronomy or Biology or equivalent or Master Degree in Plant Pathology or 2+ years of experience in field and lab, Technical Degrees are strongly considered if meets lab experience requirements Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment is a must.
Field data collection in crops (desirable) Comprehensive knowledge on databases and softwareResult orientation Field expertise Strong communication skills, written and verbal in Spanish and nice to have English communication skills.
