Completed bachelor's degree.

  • 10+ years of experience of direct management, comprising salaried and hourly workforce, as well as management an even regional roles in a logistics, manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale.
  • Experience managing workforce in a business with peak season.
  • Experience driving improvement, innovating new processes and driving out waste.
  • English and Spanish proficiency.

As a Regional Operations Manager (ROM), you will have the opportunity to manage field operations within a specific region.

The Regional Operations Manager has a high degree of responsibility for Safety, LP, Facilities and HR due to the size and location of these field operations.

Four key areas that you will always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of the Stations in your region.

To achieve this, ROMs are creative problem solvers who are able to plan in immense scale, interpret big data and deliver meaningful results that keenly drive productivity and efficiency.

Key job responsibilities

  • Managing daytoday relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
  • Driving operational goals and metrics for the Delivery Stations in your region.
  • Communicating the vision to your team and be a role model for our Leadership Principles.
  • Presenting operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team.
  • Problemsolves for closing gaps between performance and goals.
  • Hires and develops top talent.
  • Creates and implements a talent plan for the site including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Works with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers.
  • Lead a team of Multi Site Managers, Station Managers and Shift managers, providing constant feedback, coaching and mentoring for career progression, performance improvement and recognition purposes.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma or similar Certification.
  • MBA highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of leadership and people management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in data queries in SQL or similar data management systems.
  • Strong, selfdriven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow an operations team.
  • Strong project management and people management skills.
  • Strong business sense and ability to create, communicate and achieve a vision.
  • Previous experience in floor operations.
  • Experience with Import/Export and Customs processes and areas.
  • Experience working with operation's support lanes.
