Flō Networks is a leading provider of telecommunications services between the US and Mexico.

We provide connectivity and managed services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications, and cable companies over a fiber optic network that spans over 13,000 miles between both countries.

We are growing and have an immediate need for a
Voice Engineer. This position can be based in
Ciudad Juarez, Mexico City, Monterrey or Guadalajara, Mexico.

The Role:

The Responsibilities:

Deploy and maintain voice SIP interconnections with Carriers.
Provide Tier 2 and above technical support to include SBCs, voice gateways, routing databases, interconnections, class 4 & class 5 switches and SIP trunks.
Install, configure and maintain the infrastructure related to the voice network.
Responsible for ensuring the daytoday operation, reliability, and integrity of the core voice network. This includes the installation, maintenance, and management of all voice equipment such as SBCs, gateways, interconnections, databases and voice network management and diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with the Devops team in the development of tools to monitor voice performance and infrastructure (MOS, CA, CC, ASR, ACD, PDD, etc.)
Plan and execute maintenance windows of the voice core infrastructure
Work on the support oncall rotation.
Work on projects to improve the voice infrastructure.
Document voice infrastructure in the network inventory system.
Ensures that all voice infrastructure is monitored and that documentation in the inventory system is updated. Guarantee all work activity is accurately documented in our tracking systems.
Will be accountable for mentoring and training the NOC and Provisioning engineers.
Work with the Carrier Team to solve voice call termination issues.
Escalate and follow up with vendors on critical issues.

The Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.

- +4 years of experience in a similar position.

A voice/SIPrelated certification is required (SIP School, Ribbon, MS Teams).
Data/IP routing certification CCNA or similar is a plus.
Comfortable using the Linux/Unix command line and command line tools.
Knowledge of networking concepts (switches, routers, protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.).
Proven experience in SIP signaling. Detailed understanding and experience in implementing Voice over IP (VoIP).
Proven experience in SIP troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, sngrep, tcpdump).
Proven experience in managing soft switches, Class 4, Class 5, and SBCs.
Proven experience in opensource related voice over IP systems (Kamailio, Asterisk, Freeswitch) and databases (Mysql, PostgreSQL).
Experience in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, shell).
Strong relationship skills, demonstrated leadership and ability to take the initiative and make decisions independently.
Fast learner and able to work without supervision as required.
Detailed oriented.
Strong communication skills.

Bilingual
