Your 'day to day'

Lead and manage the EHS team in the factory.

Act as management advisor for all EHS topics and work to engage all the manufacturing functions to develop and sustain together a strong sustainability culture.

Drive the company to achieve sustainability's commitments and to ensure that sustainability systems and programs are implemented and continuously improved.

Major accountabilities

  • Manage the sustainability organization and core activities to continuously improve sustainability performance. Set objectives, implement the Global strategy, define plans, create initiatives, prepare communications and trainings, to ensure compliance/consistency with global and local sustainability policy, standards, systems and core values Improve sustainability management and provide oversight with incident and emergency management.
  • Ensure the implementation of the EHS management systems (ISO, OHSAS...), in line with the company EHS Principles, Practices, Standards and applicable regulatory requirements, by engaging the management and employees and facilitate continuous improvement. Ensure that procedures and programs are understood, respected and integrated in daytoday processes and activities, and compliance to legal requirements is maintained.
  • Establish a proactive loss prevention program including risk management (identification, assessment, and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning, and ensure that measures are implemented and monitored, to eliminate or reduce health, safety and environmental risks to an acceptable level. Ensure proper contractors' management and involvement in respecting applicable sustainability PMI rules and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental related laws and legislation and keep up to date with any changes. Inform management on the impact of these changes to their roles and responsibilities and/or to the company. Advise and represent site management in all matters concerning compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and maintain professional relationships with permitting authorities, to ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are adhered to and appropriate actions to correct deficiencies are implemented.
  • Contribute in the development of emergency preparedness in order to eliminate or minimize losses due to emergency incident (as per PMI definition), Business Continuity Plan and its maintenance. Provide support to business in the postincident investigation and root cause analysis.
Who we're looking for

  • Master or University degree in Engineering/Chemical/Technical areas. Specific University course in Environmental, Health & Safety disciplines.
  • International certifications (e.g. NEBOSH) are a plus
  • Min 5 years' experience in related area and management experience.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
  • ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 knowledge.
  • IWS, TPM, WCM experience is a plus.
